A huge shout out to my sister grace for the new blog graphic! She is so talented and I loved the way it turned out. This week there isn't much to report. I continue to work at my job, pray, and spend time with friends and family. Life is good. Today I am deeply grateful for God's healing/restoring power in my life. Today marks five years since my engagement was broken. As I look back I see God moving and working to heal and restore a shattered me. He made me new. He restored my soul. And for that I am so grateful.  Even when there's not much to say, I can always take comfort in how far God has brought me, both in the last five years and in the last year. He's helped me take giant leaps towards knowing Him. He's given me adventures beyond my wildest dreams. He has given me a heart that wants Him more than anything.  What are you grateful for today? Grateful, Rose

Fundraising Begins

When I first went to YWAM, I didn't consider myself a missionary. I wanted the training and adventure, but in my mind it was those who served overseas and had devoted their whole life to the mission field got the title of missionary.  Over the last year, God has not only taken me on an amazing adventure that helped me to see what a missionary really is. It's not just a title I get to assume when I'm in a foreign country, it's a lifestyle I get to live all the time. The truth is we all are called to serve and love those around us and around the world. We are all called to share the gospel. We are all called to live holy lives for Christ. We are all called to be ambassadors for the True King regardless of where we live. Since this is the life God has called us to live, we all hold the title of missionary. We all have a part to play in fulfilling the great commission.  So I now gladly wear the title of missionary. Not because I'm in a foreign country, but because I...

Merry Christmas

Today, I pray that you know the love and joy that Christ has given us to a greater degree. He has been so good to me this week and this Christmas season. I'm grateful for His love, compassion, and provision in my life.  Because of ya'lls generosity I'm now at 44% of my tuition raised! Thank you! I'm thrilled about seeing God move through many of you. I'm praying and seeking His direction for when I should go to the School of Evangelism. While there is part of me that I would like to go back as soon as possible, I want God's best over my preference. Can you join me in prayer that God would make it clear?  As always I love you and appreciate your support, love, and prayers.  Merry Christmas, Rose

This week has been more of a struggle for me. I've been dealing with an infection that caused quite a bit of pain. Despite that, I'm so grateful.  I praise God for medical professionals that we could consult and get medicine to fight the infection. The Lord has been so good. As I've come to Him and cried out, He has given me peace. It's been an exercise in trusting God and not in my own resources. While I am still learning, I'm grateful for the opportunity to grow in trusting Him.  I'm so grateful for the family who took care of me and loved me even when I woke up in pain at 3 AM. They are a great comfort and encouragement to my heart. I'm grateful for the friends who prayed for me fervently and lovingly.  I'm so grateful for the comforts of home, medicine to treat infections, kind bosses, naps, and really good food.  I'm grateful for the four days of work I was able to go in this week and for the kid hugs I got.  I'm grateful for the donations I...
