Fundraising Begins

When I first went to YWAM, I didn't consider myself a missionary. I wanted the training and adventure, but in my mind it was those who served overseas and had devoted their whole life to the mission field got the title of missionary.  Over the last year, God has not only taken me on an amazing adventure that helped me to see what a missionary really is. It's not just a title I get to assume when I'm in a foreign country, it's a lifestyle I get to live all the time. The truth is we all are called to serve and love those around us and around the world. We are all called to share the gospel. We are all called to live holy lives for Christ. We are all called to be ambassadors for the True King regardless of where we live. Since this is the life God has called us to live, we all hold the title of missionary. We all have a part to play in fulfilling the great commission.  So I now gladly wear the title of missionary. Not because I'm in a foreign country, but because I...

Merry Christmas

Today, I pray that you know the love and joy that Christ has given us to a greater degree. He has been so good to me this week and this Christmas season. I'm grateful for His love, compassion, and provision in my life.  Because of ya'lls generosity I'm now at 44% of my tuition raised! Thank you! I'm thrilled about seeing God move through many of you. I'm praying and seeking His direction for when I should go to the School of Evangelism. While there is part of me that I would like to go back as soon as possible, I want God's best over my preference. Can you join me in prayer that God would make it clear?  As always I love you and appreciate your support, love, and prayers.  Merry Christmas, Rose

A Big Update

Sit back and relax. I have so much to tell you. At the beginning of the week I was a little nervous because this week's topic was relationships. In recent years when this subject has come up my insides start to turn. Why? Growing up I had a great Godly example of marriage from my parents. It's something that from an early age I wanted to duplicate. I wanted a life partner and home of my own. Sadly that desire got twisted into an idol that led me to make some very bad decisions. I thank God that He saved me from what would have been a terrible marriage and that He healed me from the pain. However the scars still remain. This week as I sat in class I had such mixed emotions. Monday and Tuesday we talked about the value of human life and how we are image bearers of the King. While not new information, it's changing the way I approach people. I get to approach them as having value and draw out the image of God in them.  Wednesday and Thursday we talked about marriage and sexu...

Mission:Fundraising

Image
Hello friends!  I am so excited to announce that fundraising is set up and thanks to Sarah I have a progress bar. I plan to update it every Saturday. On of the amazing things about serving the God of the universe is that I know He will provide. He has surrounded me with people who are cheering me on and praying for me. I can't wait to see how He moves hearts to give.  If you want to contribute to my YWAM adventure which includes 3 months studying on campus and then 2 months on a missions trip, you can click here . And as I've stated in the sidebar, all donations go into a special bank account just for this adventure.  In joyful expectancy, Rose
