It’s Good To Be Home

Wow! I’m back at YWAM! It has been a full and great week. 

For starters, I have loved being back at the beautiful YWAM campus. I felt at home instantly and was so thankful I got to come back. Even though it’s cold, I love being here. 

I’m so grateful that I get to have Emily and Anthony for my leaders for the school of evangelism. They were amazing leaders during my DTS and I’m so excited that we get to walk together in this next season. 

I also love that I get to walk with several of my DTS classmates as well as some new friends. It’s exciting. 

Since I got back God has really been speaking to me about focus. Focusing on Him and being present in the moment. Please pray that I would continue to do both in this season. 

In addition to orientation classes, they told us where we are going on our missions trip. We are heading to Tanzania! God has opened a door for us to work with an unreached people group there. Please be in prayer that God would be preparing the soil of peoples hearts for the Gospel and that our team would be prepared to share the Gospel boldly. 

I can’t thank you enough for your generosity and for your prayers. I couldn’t have gotten here without you.

  For those of you who still follow this blog, the story with that guy is turning out so well.  We continued to date and get to know each other. In December Stewart asked me to marry him and I happily said yes. On March 25th, we got married. I'm so grateful that God gave me this kind and Godly man to walk by my side and for the life I'm getting to live.   My mission is still the same, I'm just doing it on a different mission field than I thought. I'm still seeking to love God and people. I'm still seeking to encourage those around me and be the servant God has called me to be.  Thank you to everyone who has loved and supported me on my missions journey. I'm so thankful for the adventure God gave me and for the people like you who cheered me on. The Adventure Begins!

  Today my YWAM adventure begins! After 3 months of preparation I'm starting my adventure with Jesus. This last week was bittersweet. On Sunday my home church prayed for me and my time at YWAM. I am grateful for the love and support they have poured into me. It made their prayer for me all the sweeter. Then when we got home, we had a sibling birthday bash. Everyone voted they would rather celebrate early than to miss doing it with me. I have the best family. We had lots of presents, two cakes, and a lot of laughter. It was great and a time I will treasure.  Monday through Thursday I was busy running errands, packing, cleaning up my room, and hugging family. It's been an emotional and exciting time. Saying goodbye is tough, but the excitement of this new adventure carries me forward.  I spent Friday driving up to Lindale and spending time with my mom. She has been such a great support on this journey. I'm so thankful that we got to have some special time together before I go

Learning To Hear

  Wow! The Lord is so good. I've been blown away by His love and care for me.  For starters the 4th of July was great. We swam in the lake, ate hot dogs and burgers with a ton of good sides, had a good time of fellowship, and then went to watch fireworks over a lake. They were beautiful. I was mesmerized.  This week we have been learning about hearing the voice of God. Our teacher was a man named Josh Langer. Originally from Germany, he was a very engaging speaker. I found myself amazed by how many different ways God communicates with us and how He invites us to partner with Him in the great commission. We looked at things that hinder us from hearing the voice of God and what our heart posture should be in approaching God. It was amazing how he brought truths to light that I knew already, but had become buried.
